Privacy Policy

1.    As a customer, you are very important to us. We are committed to your privacy.

2.    Message Muffins will only use the information that we collect from you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

3.    You can be assured that any and all information collected on this site will be held securely and kept strictly confidential. We  will not sell or disclose to any third party organisation. The information you provide us is purely used to process your order and to provide the best possible service, delivery of goods and to contact you if required to fulfill our obligation to you. We will use this information only for our own market research and statistical analysis purposes only. With your consent, Message Muffins will contact you from time to time via our newsletter informing you about new products, promotions and special offers.

4.    For a small fee, we can provide you with details of the information we hold about you. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 

Changes to Policy

We take great care to ensure our privacy policy is updated as and when necessary. We will continue to review this frequently to obtain the best service we can provide to our customers. Please check our terms and conditions regularly.

 

Products

1.    All of our products and gift packagings are subject to availability. We have the right to change or substitute without prior notice. Please appreciate most of our orders are time critical, and we may not have enough time to contact you.

2.    We will replace any item not available for an equal or higher value of your order.

3.    We will make every attempt to inform you of any changes or substitutions that are necessary.

4.    All muffins, cookies and sweets are produced on premises where nuts are used and may contain nut traces.

5.    All our muffins are suitable for vegetarians. 

 

Delivery Area

Message Muffins can only deliver to UK mainland only at this time, excluding the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. 

 

Order and Delivery

For all orders, we use First Class Royal Mail. Express delivery & courier as and when requested.

 

1.    Orders received by 1 pm Monday to Friday, with the exception of Bank Holidays, will be processed and dispatched on the same day. Although the majority of orders placed before 1 pm reach their destinations the following day, Message Muffins cannot guarantee this.

2.    If you would like your gift delivered on a special celebration date, please allow TWO working days after your dispatch date for it to arrive on time.

3.    Message Muffins cannot accept liability for late deliveries.

4.   If there is no-one available to receive the package, Royal Mail will leave notification of when and where it can be collected.

5.     It is the recipient's responsibility to re-arrange delivery with the Royal Mail as appropriate.

6.    Message Muffins accepts no liability if the delivery is not made due to the recipient being unavailable or if the goods ordered become unsuitable due to the non-delivery.

7.    It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that provide the correct delivery information. Please check that the postcode and the address are recorded correctly when placing an order.

8.    We cannot accept liability for late or non-delivery due to incorrect delivery details given.

9.    Where possible, we recommend that gifts are sent to the workplace if the recipient works Monday to Friday.

10.   Orders being sent to business addresses, hospitals, hotels, schools and flats will be left at reception or mailing room.

11.   Please note we are unable to accept addresses from and to PO box numbers.

IMPORTANT: Please remember the dispatch date is not the delivery date!

 

Corporate Order and Delivery 
 
1.   For large corporate orders, we use a courier for Delivery.

2.    Deliveries can only be made Monday to Friday with the exception of Bank Holidays and non-working days. Orders made on Friday up until 1pm are dispatched for a Monday delivery.

3.    A signature is required upon delivery for orders where a third party will accept and sign for on the recipient's behalf. This shall be accepted as proof of delivery.

4.    If no-one is available to receive the package, Royal mail/courier will leave notification of when and where it can be collected.

5.    It is the recipient's responsibility to re-arrange delivery with Royal Mail/courier.

6.   Message Muffins accepts no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient being unavailable, or if the goods become unsuitable due to non-delivery.

7.    It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they provide the correct delivery information.

8.    Please check that the postcode and address are recorded correctly.

10.  Message Muffins cannot accept liability for late deliveries.

11.  Orders being sent to business addresses is. offices, hospitals and schools will be left at reception or the mailing room. Please ensure third parties are aware of the arrival of the package and that a signature is required.

12.  This shall be accepted as proof of delivery.

13.  Please note that we are unable to accept addresses from and to PO box numbers.

Payment Online

All payments will be processed by Secure Trading &  PAYPAL.

The debit and credit card details accepted by us are detailed through a trusted website. Message Muffins has no access to any credit or debit card details.

We will debit the whole price of the goods from your preferred payment card at the time of the order.

We have the right to terminate our agreement with you if you refused payment.

In order for the payment process to run smoothly, the address details are required of the credit/debit card holder. This will then be used to validate the order.

Incorrect details given will result in delaying the process of your order. 

In an unlikely event that your payment card is used fraudulently to pay for an order with Message Muffins, you the customer are entitled in accordance with the 'Consumer Protection Distance Selling Regulation (2000)' to have all sums returned to you by the card issuer.

Payments by corporate account

Invoices are issued to companies that have opened an account with us at the end of each calendar month , payment required by either bacs, online payment or by telephone. Invoices need to be paid within 28days of receipt.

 

Order Acknowledgment

All orders will be acknowledged by email or in writing to confirm order details.

 

Personal Messages

1.    We respect that all personal messages are private. We do not disclose to any third parties or keep a record of messages sent to us.

2.    We do, however, reserve the right to reject and withdraw any message we may consider might offend, be racist, abusive, indecent, obscene, menacing or in breach of confidence to the recipient.

3.    Your message will be copied as you type it directly onto the greeting card of your choice.

 

Returns

We take great care to ensure you gift order is dispatched in excellent condition. If when it is received you are unhappy with its condition, or for any reason you are not entirely satisfied, you can return it to us at your own expense within fourteen working days of dispatch, giving details of what was unsatisfactory.

Refunds will be provided by us for items received back.

Please ensure that proof of posting is obtained.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at www.hmso.gov.uk

 

Cancellations

If, for whatever reason, you need to cancel your order, you may do so at any time up until 1pm on the dispatch date of your order.

A full refund will be given.
